Coating is always important

This 36º ball valve was extremely worn. We coated the valve and then ground it down to its original size. The ball valve has now been strengthened, making it highly resistant to wear and durable, thus increasing its lifetime and improving its cost-effectiveness. The valve is part of the pipeline that supplies Europe with natural gas.
Coating is an industrial technique that consists of a source of heat and injection of a material in the form of a powder or wire with the goal of improving the surface properties of the coated item.

 Coating can improve resistance to wear, resistance to corrosion and heat insulation. Bandak has worked with thermal coating for almost 20 years. Today, our state-of-the-art equipment and expertise in this area mean we are market leader in Norway.

    Problems we can resolve: erosion, abrasion, corrosion, cavitation, “non-stick”, friction (high or low). Coating can strengthen products, allow replacement of expensive materials with coated standard materials, provide temperature protection and electrical insulation / conductivity, replace hard chrome and repair worn parts.
